Library Storytimes and Stay & Plays are great ways to help young children build early-literacy, learning, and social skills in a play-based and comfortable environment.  Storytime and Stay & Play is for children ages 0 to 5.

Acclaimed author Oliver Chin celebrates the Lunar New Year with a reading from his newest children's picture book, The Year of the Horse. This story is the latest adventure in the popular annual series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac.  Hannah the Horse is eager to prove herself. Inspired by her hardworking family, she befriends a boy named Tom. When an important item must be delivered to a distant land, Hannah seizes the opportunity to show that even a little horse can make a big difference.  Following the story, children will learn how to draw a horse and enjoy coloring Zodiac animal-themed sheets. Recommended for children ages 3 to 5 + older siblings and families are welcome. Thanks to the San Ramon Library Foundation for generously funding this program.

Join your friends at the Dougherty Station Library for fun and engaging stories, music, fingerplays, action rhymes, and felt board activities on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Following this storytime, a craft activity will be set out for kids and caregivers to enjoy at 7:00pm. Library Storytimes are a great way to help young children build early-literacy, learning, and social skills in a play-based and comfortable environment. This weekly Family Storytime and Craft program is designed for toddlers and preschoolers ages 1 to 5. Older siblings who are able to model listening and social skills for younger children are welcome to attend.

This class is designed for adults of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. We’ll explore foundational yoga poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices to help you build strength, increase flexibility, and reduce stress. Each session aims to leave you feeling refreshed, centered, and more connected to your body. Come as you are, and discover the transformative power of yoga in a supportive and welcoming environment.
