*Not a library sponsored group The Elm City Chorus is made up of both male & female singers, having evolved from a Barbershop Chorus founded in New Haven in 1947. Our primary purpose is to bring the joy of hearing choral music to audiences living in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. We provide music to our singers so that they can have the words in front of them; most of our songs are familiar American songs - we basically try to create a sing-along quality.  We are always happy to welcome people who like to sing.
