The Chamber has nine geographically based divisions which meet on a monthly basis throughout Middlesex County. These divisions focus on local economic development issues and each meeting features an update from local municipal officials.  Meetings occur on the first Wednesday of the month at different locations. This division does not meet in the Summer months of July and August. The host for this meeting is TBD but you can still register today! Agenda   I. Meetings occur on the first Wednesday of each month, at 8:00 a.m., at the Chamber, or you may join via Zoom. This committee is an open committee! If you would like more information on how you can get involved please contact Sara Mendillo at [email protected]   The Chamber’s Environment and Infrastructure Committee focuses on a variety of important issues dealing with the environment, land use, energy, transportation, water and sewer infrastructure, and much more. The group, led by Chairman Tim Myjak, also advises the Legislative Committee and Board of Directors on relevant chamber policy statements, and served as the chamber’s lead subcommittee on issues pertaining to the East Haddam Swing Bridge Project, the Rt. 9 and Rt. 17 construction project in Middletown and various other construction that either directly impacted or had the potential to impact our members, and much more. Finally, the committee continues to focus on economic resilience, and will be tasked with incorporating lessons learned during the pandemic into future emergency planning for the business community in our region.

Meetings occur on the first Thursday of the month at 11:00 a.m., at the Chamber, or you may join via Zoom. This council is a closed council. If you would like more information on how you can get involved please contact Sara Mendillo at [email protected]   The Real Estate Council, under the leadership of Nancy Currlin and Juliet Cavanaugh, create an atmosphere for local realtors to come together for networking, encouraging cooperation, sharing ideas, improving business relations through collaboration, and educational experiences. The council consists of 24 members throughout the county who meet monthly. The main objectives include: continuing education for real estate renewal licenses, promotion of the real estate industry, legislation  and referrals to the Chamber’s Legislative Committee.

The Chamber has nine geographically based divisions which meet on a monthly basis throughout Middlesex County. These divisions focus on local economic development issues and each meeting features an update from local municipal officials. Twice a year, in November and March, our monthly morning division meetings are held during the evening and feature appetizers and networking, with the goal of creating new connections. The Chester/Deep River/Essex Division occurs on the first Friday of the month at different locations. This division does not meet in the Summer months of July and August.

Gilead’s Mental Health Resource Center is excited to launch a free open Family Support Group for those who have a loved one living with a mental health diagnosis. Watching a loved one struggle with a mental illness can be difficult. Participants will learn coping tools, importance of self-care, peer-to-peer discussion, listen to guest speakers and learn about helpful community supports and resources.
