Christine O’Keefe is a classically trained figurative artist, having studied drawing and oil painting at Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan CT over a period of about 6 years. She has studied privately with talented artists such as Mark Boedges, Steven Assael, as well as Florence Academy trained artists Jennifer Gennari and Jesus Villarreal. Additionally, she has studied extensively with artist Justin Wiest in Wilton CT painting live models, portrait and figures in oil. She was a member of The New Street Guild of Artists a group of women realist artists for about 10 years, while it existed.O’Keefe is a lifetime lover of all animals and an active animal rights advocate. She served on the board of the Humane Society for about 20 years in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Over the past several years, she has devoted more and more of her work to painting animals, especially dogs, horses and wildlife. Looking for a new way to relax, reduce stress and connect with your body? Rosen Movement encourages relaxation through range of motions and simple, easy-to-do stretching exercises done to music.These movements are designed to lubricate the joints, expand the chest, and loosen the diaphragm.Betty Ross has been studying the body for more than 20 years. She is a licensed massage therapist, a Rosen Bodywork Practitioner, a Rosen Movement Teacher, a Core Energetics Practitioner and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.This class will be offered on second and fourth Thursdays at 1:00. No prior experience is required. Join us for our 21+ adults-only tabletop gaming experience. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages provided as well as a ticket for one beer or glass of wine included. Tabletop games mean anything from card games to dice games, board games to strategy games. You are welcome to bring a game and play, learn a new game, borrow a game from our collection to take home, or just observe! If you have a specific game that you are interested in teaching, please let us know in the registration notes so we can put a table aside for you. Larger groups of 6 or more can also email to request a table be set aside. All attendees must be 21 or older. Registration is recommended.
