Join us for this special monthly youth education program about agriculture, presented by the Peoria County Farm Bureau. Each month will focus on a different topic. Being a healthy child and a successful student relies on a proper diet. Students will learn about the food groups and the types of foods that they should be eating on a regular basis, along with the foods that should be an occasional treat. But knowing what to eat and what to avoid is tough when it comes to processed food options. To help them understand those foods better the students will learn about nutrition labels and what they include. They will practice reading nutrition labels and identify the healthier choice when it comes to their food and drink choices. Geared toward grades 3-6.*Registration required.
