Join Richard Knox for a wonderful opportunity to relive some of the (mostly live) signature musical numbers first performed on television. Videos clips will include some wonderful duets and medleys performed by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, Fred Astaire and Ethel Merman, and Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Additionally, we will have a chance to revisit the Beatles first performance on the Ed Sullivan Show as well as solo performances by such world famous artists such as Mary Martin, Nat King Cole, and Eydie Gorme.  About Richard:   Richard Knox, a long-time resident of Merrick, NY and now currently living in Omaha, Nebraska. Rich is a retired school administrator who served as Supervisor of Mathematics for a large Long Island school district for over 20 years after first teaching math in his birthplace of Brooklyn, NY for 15 years. He has used much of his retirement time since then to develop and present a variety of multi-media programs on the performing arts at over 100 venues throughout the New York metropolitan area and more recently virtually via Zoom at locations around the country. Rich is an avid fan of classic Hollywood films, opera, Broadway musicals, and songs from the early years of Rock and Roll. "Meditation for Everyday Living” John Bednarik, is a recently retired Assistant Area Director, and Occupational Safety and Health Technologist. He has lead teams, investigated and managed industrial accidents and illness in the workplace. John was involved in disaster relief at the World Trade Center, as well as Hurricane Katrina and Flight 800.  As is evident by his profession, John is no stranger to stress. When asked how he can keep his cool when faced with human tragedy, John says, “I have been meditating for over 30 years. This has given me the stability to do what has to be done, not be personally overwhelmed in the process and help others.”  John has discovered a path to greater health, happiness, and peace. Let him introduce you to a basic meditation technique that can improve the quality of your everyday life by reducing your stress, improving your health and bringing inner peace. There will be a chance to try this technique out . This is part of our Monthly Meditation Series. About John:  John M. Bednarik, OHST is a recently retired Assistant Area Director at the Long Island Area Osha Office in Westbury, NY. John is certified as an Occupational Safety & Health Technologist and is trained both in Safety & Industrial Hygiene. He has investigated complex industrial accidents and illnesses in the workplace and has supervised a team of Federal Officers. He has a degree in Business Management, Marketing & Occupational Health. John now serves as a consultant in the field of labor law and safety. He is also an assistant director of a children's meditation camp in Virginia. Sharing his time between Long Island and Florida, John has discovered a path to greater health, happiness, and peace.
