About Us
Girl Scouts build girls with courage, confidence and character. Hingham has a strong tradition of scouting with almost 400 girls currently involved. We have over 30 troops in Hingham spanning the range of Kindergarten Daisies to High School Ambassadors. We are anchored in town by our our Hingham Girl Scout House. In the late 1920's Hingham Girl Scouts raised funds to build a house for their meetings. The house was completed in late 1929 and held it's first meeting in early 1930. It has been in use continuously since that date. Current Girl Scouts from Hingham and elsewhere as well as Boy Scouts have meetings, sleepovers and other events in the house. This page will host information about the history, current events, and fundraising activities for the house.
