Governor to proclaim Jefferson Day. â The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart April thirteenth as "Jefferson Day", and recommending that it be observed by the people with appropriate exercises in the public schools and otherwise to the end that the memory of the public service and the humanitarian principles of Thomas Jefferson may be perpetuated.

â 9.115. Patriots Day, April 19 â how observed. â April nineteenth of every year shall be known and designated as "Patriots Day". It shall be a day on which to commemorate the day of the "shot heard 'round the world" and the beginning of the American Revolution. The teachers and students of the schools of this state shall observe the day with appropriate exercises.
