Logs can be submitted to Children’s staff any time the library is open. From June 30th - August 8th for incoming grades K-6Do you have a budding author at home or in the classroom? Do you know a young developing artist that is looking for the opportunity to express themselves? Students are welcome to enter the third annual Johnson Public Library Young Writers Competition! From June 30th to August 8th, JPL’s Children’s Department will be accepting original works done by students in the form of graphic novels, short stories and poetry! All participants will receive a distinguished young author’s certificate for participating. Everyone’s submissions will also be displayed on the library’s website at johnsonlib.org for all to see.The winners will be included in an anthology that will be professionally printed by the library. The anthology will be added to the JPL children’s collection. Winning entrants will also receive a copy.
