Final deadline to register: The Saturday before the week’s session begins Garden Ecology and Design: Your middle schooler will explore the elegance of the NY Chinese Scholar’s Garden, Tuscan Garden, and Healing Garden (among others!), diving into concepts of community mapping, biophilic design, and the importance of understanding ecosystems and climate regions and how they can impact garden design. Guided by inspiring guest presenters, your children will learn how the local environment and climate shape the gardens’ design and ecological health, fostering a deeper appreciation for the interplay between nature and human creativity. The program culminates in a final group project where students present their visionary designs and discoveries to friends and family, showcasing their role as future stewards of our shared environment.
