Etowah LibraryThis music and dance party is an interactive family event, featuring Asheville musician and teaching artist, Ryan Glass (known to local littles as Mr. Ryan), who's been sharing his poems, songs, and classes with Buncombe-area preschools and kindergartens since 2013!The audience joins the live band in call and response games, sing-a-longs, the shaking of shakers, movement and dance, and a Drum Jam featuring the many drums and percussion instruments he brings. Magical musical experiences guaranteed!This program for children and their families will be held in the outdoor amphitheater. In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved inside to the Etowah Library Program Room.This FREE program is made possible with funds provided by the Community Foundation of Henderson County through the Richard J. and Betty A. Scott Estate.

Bring your items needing repair!Volunteer sewing specialists will be available to mend clothing and complete other household sewing repairs- including patching, stitching, buttons, zipper repair, hemming, and more. Repairs are not limited to clothing- bring your stuffed animals, old purse, leather gloves, etc. Sewing machines will be present.There will also be someone available for electrical and non-electrical appliance repairs. In consideration to the Repair Cafe volunteers, please bring only one or two items for repair. This will help ensure that everyone who attends has a chance to be seen.
