Senior Toning Class

The City of Green Parks and Recreation is pleased to host Knit for the Needy! This group makes afghans and other "warm items" for those in need. When: Every Tuesday. January and February are weather permitting.. Where: John Torok Community and Senior Center Time: 1 pm to 3 pm Cost: Free and open to all! Yarn will be provided, however, participants will need to bring their own knitting needles and/or crochet hooks. Items Being Made Members are encouraged to make any items that they would like, such as: Blankets, Gloves, Hats, Mittens, Scarves Patterns for various items will also be provided. Donations If you cannot attend during this time, the City of Green will still gladly take any donations of completed warm items and/or yarn. The Super Senior tournament is open to teams age 50+. Teams may be made up of two women or two men. There is an upper (3.5 and above) and lower (3.5 and below) division in each age bracket. Each team will play against every team in their age division. Teams are guaranteed 6 games (subject to change based on number of entries). Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
