Calling all adult artists or would-be artists to join a supportive group working on their own projects.  Each student chooses their own subject, and brings their own equipment and supplies. Most of the artists are beginning watercolorists, but you are welcome to work in any medium. Please register via email to [email protected]. The purpose of these meetings is to plan for upcoming training sessions and competitions, along with managing fundraising and community events. The public is invited to attend these meetings and to participate in the planning. Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sport, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities. In Franklin County, we serve approximately 300 athletes with year-round sports training in floor hockey, bowling, aquatics, track and field, softball, basketball, volleyball, long distance walking/running, bocce, soccer, and golf. Franklin County Special Olympics Athletic Leadership is a partner with the Franklin County Library System
