It's adventure time!The Dallas Public Library is excited to host an ongoing Dungeons and Dragons Adventure game at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. These events will be available to all patrons, and welcoming to all D&D skill levels. Players are invited to create their own character (level 5), or use one of our premade characters (available at the meeting). The games will be a series of continuous adventures, but players are welcome to join at any time and don't need to worry about having missed previous games.When: Every Thursday from 3pm to 5:30pmWhere: Central Library - 6th floor - Classroom AHow: Register online to reserve a spot for the game. Walk-ins are welcome if we have an opening, but registrants will receive priority. This will be an in-person event. Age recommendation is 13+. Patrons younger than 13 will require an adult guardian to play as well.

The Central Library hosts a creative writing club every other Saturday!We hope to build a supportive group that provides accountability, helps you stay motivated, and shares in the joys and woes of creative writing.In the first half of the meeting, we discuss writing-related topics based on the assigned reading. This year, we are going through the writing craft book, The Emotional Craft of Fiction by Donald Maass. In the second half of the meeting, we work quietly on personal projects, so bring your notebooks and devices!Register for email reminders and updates.
