In this hands-on workshop, young inventors will transform everyday materials—like cardboard boxes, popsicle sticks, and straws—into their very own tabletop foosball game. By stepping into the shoes of an engineer, participants will navigate the Engineering Design Process to turn a pile of supplies into a functional, playable masterpiece. After the presentation, Dino Bo lets kids examine real fossils from Texas dinosaurs.This introductory program provides the audience with an opportunity to interact with REAL dinosaur bones! We will review the most relevant labs used to diagnose and monitor diabetes—including A1C, fasting glucose, insulin, and lipid markers—and discuss how modern tools like continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and glucose meters help individuals better understand and improve their blood sugar patterns.May 27: How to Eat for Diabetes and Blood Sugar ControlParticipants will learn how food affects blood sugar and insulin response.
