Our Speaker: MATC President; Dr. Anthony Cruz Dr. Anthony Cruz became the 11th president of Milwaukee Area Technical College in July 2024. He previously served as president of the Kendall Campus of Miami Dade College in Florida for five years. During his 28 years of higher education experience, Dr. Cruz has used his expertise to increase educational opportunities, enrich the student experience and bolster student success. He has served as campus president, vice chancellor, vice president, and dean at several community colleges and universities in Missouri, Ohio and Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida International University, a Master in Public Administration from Florida State University and a doctorate in higher education from Florida International University. Dr. Cruz is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Miami, Florida.
