We invite members of the community to attend one of our meetings to learn what great things we are doing in the community.  The Verona Lions Club is committed to making the Verona area a better place to live.  Whether it is screening children's vision at area pre-schools, collecting school supplies for the students in our schools, collecting stretch plastic to be made into benches that are donated to the community, holding food drives for the food pantry, or providing a free morning to visit with Santa the Lions truly live up to our motto of "We Serve".

We usually meet at Stone Porch Ale House, 950 Kimball Ln, Verona on the third Wednesday of the month for a meal off the menu and a business meeting. But if there is a room conflict we will meet at different locations. Please check our website for the

Join us in teeing off the 2025 Wisconsin Art of Cheese Festival with the inaugural Art of Cheese Open, a shotgun start tournament pairing cheese and golf enthusiasts with Wisconsin cheesemakers, and more. Held at The Oaks Golf Course, golfers can visit the Art of Cheese Clubhouse and Pro Shop, engage with golf-loving cheesemakers, and compete in cheese-themed hole competitions. Please join us for our meeting and learn about how you can help spread joy throughout the community, make a real difference for youth and support the Optimist Mission "By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in our youth, our communities, and ourselves."  We meet at the Verona Senior Center on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. The 4th Thursday meeting is a special guest meeting where we often have guest speakers and other informational, educational and joyous activities planned in addition to our volunteer coordination work.

On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, from 9 am to noon, Oak Bank will be hosting our annual Great Pumpkin Give Away. Families are welcome to join us behind our building in the parking lot at 5951 McKee Road in Fitchburg, to pick out pumpkins, grab a goodie bag (while supplies last) and enjoy tractor drawn carriage rides. Kids will have the opportunity to meet local mascots. All cash donations collected during the event will be donated to Meadowood Health Partnership. The primary mission of the Meadowood Health Partnership (MHP) is to strengthen families, promote literacy, and provide neighborhood-based model health care. MHP offers a variety of programs and services to support mental health, including counseling, support groups, and educational workshops to seek solutions in disparities experienced by the residents of the Meadowood community.
