The Chamber has nine geographically based divisions which meet on a monthly basis throughout Middlesex County. These divisions focus on local economic development issues and each meeting features an update from local municipal officials. Twice a year, in November and March, our monthly morning division meetings are held during the evening and feature appetizers and networking, with the goal of creating new connections. The Rocky Hill Division occurs on the third Wednesday of the month at different locations. This division does not meet in the Summer months of July and August.

The Legislative Committee works hard as the chamber’s voice on important public policy issues in the State of Connecticut.  The committee is responsible for creating the chamber’s Public Policy Agenda on a yearly basis, and hosts major legislative events every year. These include: the Legislative Breakfast with the Middlesex County legislative delegation, and four leadership events featuring leaders from each of the legislative caucuses in Hartford. The Legislative Committee will continue to pursue legislation that encourages Connecticut businesses to invest and grow opportunities for good, well-paying jobs.   Meetings occur on the third Friday of the month at 8:00 a.m., at the Chamber, or you may join via Zoom. The Affordable Housing Committee was created to provide a voice for the business community in the important housing based conversations in Middlesex County. The committee includes developers, lenders, realtors, non-profit liaisons, attorneys and other professionals. The committee will continue to work with other key stakeholders in Middlesex County to stress housing as an economic driver, and to be a resource to the chamber at large on housing related issues.   This committee is an open committee! The Chamber has nine geographically based divisions which meet on a monthly basis throughout Middlesex County. These divisions focus on local economic development issues and each meeting features an update from local municipal officials.   Twice a year, in November and March, our monthly morning division meetings are held during the evening and feature appetizers and networking, with the goal of creating new connections.   The Westbrook Division occurs on the fourth Tuesday of the month at different locations. This division does not meet in the Summer months of July and August.

Gilead’s Mental Health Resource Center is excited to launch a free open Family Support Group for those who have a loved one living with a mental health diagnosis. Watching a loved one struggle with a mental illness can be difficult. Participants will learn coping tools, importance of self-care, peer-to-peer discussion, listen to guest speakers and learn about helpful community supports and resources.
