Dink for Pink is an annual women's doubles tournament presented by the N.E.O.P.P. to raise money for cancer research non-profits. This year's benefactor is Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation - a non-profit corporation whose goal is to better the lives of families in Northeast Ohio affected by breast cancer. Participants register as an individual and mix partners throughout the tournament. The City of Green Parks and Recreation is pleased to host Knit for the Needy! This group makes afghans and other "warm items" for those in need. When: Every Tuesday. January and February are weather permitting.. Where: John Torok Community and Senior Center Time: 1 pm to 3 pm Cost: Free and open to all! Yarn will be provided, however, participants will need to bring their own knitting needles and/or crochet hooks. Items Being Made Members are encouraged to make any items that they would like, such as: Blankets, Gloves, Hats, Mittens, Scarves Patterns for various items will also be provided. Donations If you cannot attend during this time, the City of Green will still gladly take any donations of completed warm items and/or yarn.
